Mercy-USA for Aid and Development
Dedicated to alleviating human suffering and supporting individuals and their communities in their efforts to become more self-sufficient, Mercy-USA for Aid and Development is a registered PVO (Private Voluntary Organization) with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), and is a member of the American Council for Voluntary International Action (InterAction).
Mercy-USA has a 4 out of 4 star rating from Charity Navigator, is certified as one of the Best in America with the Independent Charities Seal of Excellence, and complies with the InterAction PVO Standards. Mercy-USA's projects focus on improving health, nutrition and access to safe water, as well as promoting economic and educational growth around the world.
Mercy-USA is accountable, effective and financially efficient. More than 95 percent of Mercy-USA’s expended resources support its relief, reconstruction and poverty-fighting projects around the world. Less than 5 percent of these expenses go toward administrative and fundraising costs.
The mGive Foundation is a third party charitable foundation that works with mobile cell phone providers to charge the users cell phone bill and collect the funds for distribution to the partner charity organizations. They have worked with United Way, the Red Cross and countless other organizations.
